Every month subscribers will receive 5-7 hair products (a mix of Full and sample sized products).

Since I am trying to revert my hair back. to its natural curly state I need all the help I can get, so I am trying Curlbox for the first time! My children also have coarse and thick textured curly hair so we all go through tons of hair products, which can be very expensive when you are experimenting on new hair remedies.

On with February Curl Box review!

Included in every box is a quick reference guide that includes a letter from the editor and run down of the items included. This month centered on Curlbox turning 3 in February and Celebrating their Birthday!

IMG_7408Dove Quench Absolute Ultra Nourishing Serum (Full Size) $6.19 & Dark and Lovely Easy Twist Gel N’ Butter (Full Size) $9.99

The Dove line has been making some serious strides lately, but I am not sure how I like this serum yet. The formula is made for dry, course and curly hair and works wonderfully on my sons hair but not so much for me. If you are looking for something to add definition this is not the best choice, however, it is great for those with super curly hair that need a bit of moisture. The scent is clean smelling and the hold is minimal.

The Twist Gel N’ Butter is my new favorite! My son’s hair was flawless and the gel came out surprisingly light for a gel. The hold was phenomenal but I did wish it dried a bit faster.IMG_7407 Blueberry Bliss Curl Control Jelly (Full Size) $13 & Cantu Shea Butter For Natural Hair Coil Calm Detangler (Full Size) $10.55

I have yet to try the blueberry jelly and found the smell to be a bit overwhelming at first. I placed a tiny bit on my fingers and luckily the scent dissipates quickly after it dries.

The detangler worked fantastic, easing comb out and adding shine plus moisture. The best part is that Cantu Shea Butter has no: mineral oil, sulfates, parabens, silicone, phthalates, gluten, paraffin, propylene, PABA or DEA!

IMG_7409Carols Daughter® Mirabelle Plum Biotin Conditioner (Full Size) $12 & Lottabody Coconut & Shea Oils Moisturize Me Curl & Style Milk (Full Size) $10.49

The addition of this super moisturizing Carols Daughter conditioner literally made the box for me! I have been a Carol’s Daughter fan for a while now and found this conditioner to be their best yet! The formula works to hydrate weak and very dry hair which I found worked amazingly in order to make my hair manageable and easily detangled!

Lottabody has been around for decades and their new line had me curious about these products… I am glad I was able to try this in the subscription versus buying this at the store! Again, I am so thankful it was included in my box and I did not spend $10+ on this product… the product seemed lacking and was not what I expected from the brand! I just saved some money this month!

All-in-all I am ecstatic that this is just my third box! I paid around $25 (includes shipping) for my box and received around $62 in Full Size hair products! I hope the trend of an all Full Size box continues throughout the year. If you are a hair product junkie, transitioning back to your natural locks (like me), or just have curly hair than this box is a must!
