What is Sample Society?

Sample Society offers 4 to 5 deluxe-sized samples based on editor suggestions. Included will be a $10 monthly gift code to redeem on a $50 purchase and an exclusive Allure mini-mag filled with tips and beauty news. You will also receive an email prior to your box arrival with your $10 coupon code and the reveal of the products included in your box.

Let’s take a peek at the May 2015 box!

When you receive your Sample Society Box you will find an Allure mini-mag, which not only is filled with each items description but their uses! I believe this to be one of the most useful tool included in any subscription service. Why? Sometimes samples do not have packaging or the packaging lacks the instructions, which diminishes the allure of the product since you do not know how to use it unless you search the web for answers! The Allure beauty mag is one of the best offered, since it includes readers & curator opinions and each product is tested by the curators. Versace Eros Pour Femme (0.17 fl oz) $12.24 & Laneige Water Sleeping Mask (0.6 fl oz) $5.75

I love love love the hint of lemon and sandalwood in this Versace scent! The downside is that it does not last long at all, so I guess I will stick with what I use now!

The mask appeared in another sub I received and is pretty decent. It’s a light gel that only needs a dab or two to provide full coverage, so this size sample will last me about a month.
John Frieda Luxurious Volume 7 Day Volume In-Shower Treatment (1 fl oz) $2.50 & Alterna Caviar Repair Multi-Vitamin Heat Protection Spray (0.85 fl oz) $6.07

I have really thick hair, so the volume in shower treatment will end up being gifted. The Alterna Caviar spray however, is my new best buddy! It smells like Mojito’s and really works to provide soft locks!

Eau Thermale Avene Thermal Spring Water (1.76 fl oz) $4.22 & Julep Lip Gloss in Graceful $5?

If you have fine lines and wear foundation, then you will know that this spring water is a must for refreshing dry/cracked makeup. I use this all the time in the humidity in TN and it works wonders and it is super refreshing on hot days. The Julep gloss was my least favorite item, not because of the product itself but that Julep has their own subscription that I subscribe to so I rather not duplicate their products.

If you love to try new products, some you have been dying to get your hands on to see if it is worth buying into the full-size than this box has a pretty good assortment. My favorites are the Avene Spring Water, Versace, and Alterna heat spray. For me, the experience of being able to try before I buy is one of the best perks, not to mention the occasional surprise find!
