Beautyfix (formally Blush Beauty Mystery Box) Subscription Box June 2015 Review.

Beautyfix by Dermstore (formally Blush Beauty Mystery Box)

Cost: $24.95 per month (monthly subscription, cancel anytime)

What is Beautyfix?

Subscribers will receive up to $100 worth of products and with Dermstore behind them they have wider brand selections!!! Beautyfix was repackaged in March and I have been watching like a hawk to see if it is worth the time and money!

Let’s take a look at the new design and products included this month!  A more detailed description card is included allowing a brief synapses of the products included and a 15% of coupon code!  Cargo Cosmetics Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20 in Nude (FULL SIZE) $34 & iS CLINICAL Cleansing Complex (2 oz) $13

The Cargo moisturizer is one I am infatuated with! The tint is in shade nude which for my tan skin is a perfect match! The downside is if your skin tone does not match, then it might be the case you will hold on to this for another day when you tan. I absolutely adore the coverage of this tinted moisturizer and have started using this in place of my Tarte Full Coverage! I found that the healthy glow in the natural light is one to get use to, but the coverage is flawless and slight imperfections are unseen with just four dabs of this concoction!

The cleanser is paraben-free and really gentle. I am not a fan of the surplus of cleanser I have been receiving in my subs, but at least I am well stocked!

Paula’s Choice Sun 365 Self Tanning Concentrate (FULL SIZE) $18 & Ashford & Co. Shave Cream (FULL SIZE) $25

I mentioned in prior posts how I am suddenly loving tanners and the even glow they give me, which helps minimize the look of imperfections especially on my legs! I burn so this alternative is now my preferred method to get that all over glow! The tanning concentrate is unique because you can add the serum to any of your existing lotions and make your own tanner and yes it works with facial products also!

We have been receiving a bulk shipment of shaving creams lately in subs, which I absolutely love since I prefer not to waste money on trivial luxuries such as this. I often will use lotions or oils to shave so I never really needed to by shaving creams, but lately I love the ease that these luxury creams provide when shaving (plus I get less knicks).

Oscar Blandi Volumizing Dry Shampoo Spray (FULL SIZE) $25 & Arcona Cranberry Toner (1 oz) $9

Oscar Blandi Dry Shampoo is popping up in every subscription box lately. I don’t mind so much since the Summer is here and typically I will use it to shield the dreaded sweaty hair look from the South’s Summer heat!

The Toner is one I tried a long time ago through Birchbox! The toner is amazing and the scent is wonderful,; it also doubles as a makeup remover!

La Roche-Posay Anthelios 60 Ultra Light Sunscreen Fluid (3 ml) $1.80; HydroPeptide Solar Defense Broad Spectrum SPF 30 (4 ml) $3.50; & SkinCeuticals Physical Matte UV Defense SPF 50 (?) $3.40

I was surprised to see that all three spf samples were included instead of one full size item. The SPF’s all have really good reviews and I think the La Roche-Posay Anthelios 60 Ultra Light Sunscreen Fluid has the best out there! Can’t wait to try it for myself!

Roloxin Lift Revitalizing Facial Treatment (0.07 oz each 2) $14 & Wei Golden Root Purifying Mud Mask $5.25

I was able to try Roloxin from Birchbox and this mask really tightens up your face for a 24 hour period. As soon as I removed this mask my face was soft but super tight like I had super glue spread everywhere on my face… weird but comforting to know that I can use this in case of a emergency when I need a face “pick-me-up” lol.

The Wei Mud Mask is a cult favorite, which I have also tried before and loved! This has to be one of my all time favorite mud masks!

The total of the Beautyfix box for May was around $152, but and I paid roughly $25 under their monthly subscription rate which is outstanding! Just the Cargo tinted moisturizer itself covered that amount and for me this was the best ever, since it introduced me to this new favorite of mine!
