What is Doorstep Desserts?

The new weekly/monthly dessert subscription sends desserts directly to your home (some assembly required lol). Each box includes pre-portioned ingredients with a recipe card that gives step-by-step instructions!

I received this box courtesy of Doorsteps Desserts for the purpose of this review!

I received last weeks Dessert was Chocolate Covered Strawberry Cake!

Each week a new dessert is released – This week it is 4 layer carrot cake!
Your Chocolate Covered Strawberry Cake comes proportioned in safely packaged individual packages! No spills and no broken cakes here!

Included is a recipe card that gives you the step by step instructions for putting together your yummy creation! No Oven needed just a minimal heating requirement in the microwave and a knife!

The Strawberry Filling tasted like real strawberries and is not made of that imitation flavoring I can’t stand!
Chocolate Covered Fudge topping included melted into perfection and then dried into a coated shell topping that was divine!     The Chocolate Cake was super fresh and even moist!
The Nutritional Information is also included!

I can’t even take credit for this creation. The instructions were so easy my 6 and 11 year old made it! And boy, was it soooo…. tasty!

Overall, I love the concept and think they should come out with a easy bake kind of subscription for tween’s who love to cook! The box price is a bit high but given the fact that weekly cakes can be sent for just $18, and you can easily assemble full sized desserts with them for at least four people, I like the idea!
