Loot Crate December 2015 Review and Coupon!
Cost: $13.37 plus $6 S&H
What is Loot Crate?
Is a theme packed box of 6 to 8 handpicked items every month. Items such as Zombie themed T-Shirts, Simpson’s merchandise, Ninja Turtles, and even good old Ren and Stimpy have graced the stage of Loot Crate.
This Month’s theme is GALAXY which focuses on Sci-Fi Space Heavy Hitting Franchises such as Star Wars and Halo.
After hearing about Loot Crate for the past couple of years on various Podcasts, such as The Nerdist Podcast, Steve Austin Show and Talk is Jericho, and a few other life changes in 2015, The Subscriptionist presented me with an opportunity to give Loot Crate a try; and I took it. So without further ado, here is my review for the GALAXY Loot Crate.
Let’s take a peek at the contents of the GALAXY Themed Crate!
The first thing that you see when you open this crate is part of the design of the reversible crate along with the T-shirt.
Ugly Sweater T ($20.00)
The T-shirt has a pretty snazzy, holidays appropriate, Ugly Sweater design on it. The fit is great and even helps hide all of my added holiday lbs!
Halo Tin ($29.95)
Anyone familiar with Halo would recognize the logo and letters on the tin box that is found underneath the T-shirt. The tin itself is pretty sturdy with a handle on the top and is held shut by a clasp on the side; much like an ammo box which it is loosely fashioned after. This would make a great lunchbox!
BB-8 Socks – ($22.99); Galaxy Quest Patch – ($4.98); Han Solo Exclusive Force Awakens Funko Pop! ($47.49); Loot Crate December 2015 Galaxy Pin – ($4.00)
Inside the Halo Tin was an assortment of goodies! To Celebrate the return of Star Wars in the new film The Force Awakens, there was an EXCLUSIVE pair of BB-8 crew socks as well as an EXCLUSIVE Han Solo Funko Pop! There was also an official replica of the patch seen worn by the crew in the film Galaxy Quest. Also in the tin was the Loot Crate ‘December 2015 Galaxy’ Pin.
Halo 5 REQ Pack – ($30.00)
At the bottom of the Crate was something that anyone with the game Halo 5: Guardians will find useful; a REQ pack! There was also a copy of Loot Crate Magazine. This month’s edition gives a year in review of Loot Crate in addition to interviews with the Ugly Sweater T-shirt designer, Drew Wise and Halo 5: Guardians Executive Producer, Chris Lee.
For readers of The Subscriptionist and fans of Loot Crate, here’s a digital copy of the Loot Crate Magazine!
The value of this month’s Loot Crate was over $100 taking into account that most of these items were made exclusively for this crate. Most of them are only available for sale online through second hand vendors and that alone increases the value! With me being a Star Wars and Halo fan, this was a successful theme in my eyes. I actually enjoyed many of the items for myself versus handing them off to the kids or gifting them!
Did you get this month’s crate? What did you think? What do you think about Loot Crate?
