What is Loot Crate?

Is a theme packed box of 6 to 8 handpicked items every month. Items such as Zombie themed T-Shirts, Simpson’s merchandise, Ninja Turtles, and even good old Ren and Stimpy have graced the stage of Loot Crate.

This Month’s theme is Horror:

October is going to be a scream with HORROR! We’ll get your spine-tingling with a crate full of classic and contemporary thrills and chills.

Bottomline Review:

After hearing about Loot Crate for the past couple of years on various Podcasts, such as The Nerdist Podcast, Steve Austin Show and Talk is Jericho, and a few other life changes in 2015, The Subscriptionist presented me with an opportunity to give Loot Crate a try; and I took it. So without further ado, here is my review for the Anti-Hero Loot Crate.

Let’s take a journey to discover the contents of the October 2016 HORROR Themed Crate!

The first thing that you see when you open this crate is part of the design of the reversible crate along with the Walking Dead T-shirt and Texas Chainsaw Massacre plush.

Loot Crate Exclusive AMC’S The Walking Dead Negan Sluggers T-shirt (Loot Crate, Inc)

What a great reminder of the return of The Walking Dead! The fit is great! Not too tight, but I’m not swimming in it either and the fabric feels fantastic! This is a guaranteed winner for any fan of The Walking Dead!!

Loot Crate Exclusive Freddy Krueger Chopsticks (Icup)

Any fan of A Nightmare on Elm Street will get a kick out of these chopsticks! Fashioned after Freddy Krueger‘s glove these stainless steel chopsticks make a great display and they’re fully functional!

Loot Crate Exclusive Leatherface Phunny Plush (KidRobot)

Texas Chainsaw Massacre fans will instantly recognize this baddie. This plush version of Leatherface actually has 2 versions; “happy” and “sad”. As you can tell, I got the “happy” one. Looks like I’m safe… for now.

Loot Crate Exclusive Camp Crystal Lake Pennant (The Coop)

Remember all the good times at Camp Crystal Lake?… That is until Friday the 13th rolled around. Here’s a nice collectible pennant for you. Don’t mind the blotch of red on it!

Loot Crate Exclusive Legion of Regrettable Supervillains Book (Quirk)

Read all about 50 of comic book history’s not-so-great supervillains in this collectible book!

Loot Crate Exclusive Horror Pin (Loot Crate Labs)

Loot Crate has given their traditional theme pin an even bigger purpose! You’ll just have to be a Looter to see how! What better representation of HORROR and Halloween than the visage of Michael Myers from Halloween!

Loot Crate Magazine: October 2016 Horror

As with all Crates, you get LC Magazine filled with great articles, activities and info about most of the items in that month’s crate.

Last but not Least…

The Crate! Returning Looters know what the crate itself does, but for the newcomers, The Crate isn’t just bestowed a fancy interior design. You can actually turn the Crate inside out to end up with a whole new design! This one also has an added special! See that handsome fella in the second picture? Just pop that out and bam! Instant zombie mask!

The value of this month’s Loot Crate was most likely over $100 taking into account that almost all of these items were made exclusively for this crate. This was a successful theme in my eyes. With Halloween around the corner, the Horror theme was an excellent idea! I actually enjoyed many of the items for myself. I’ll most likely be hanging on to quite a few of the items in this Crate!

You can view last month’s review here.

Did you get this month’s crate? What did you think? What do you think about Loot Crate?
